Quality Manager Location: West Midlands Salary: Circa £50,000 per annum, depending on experience Employment: Full-time, permanent An established specialist manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to take ownership of its quality systems, product standards and continuous improvement activities. This is a hands-on role, working closely with production and senior management to ensure quality requirements are consistently met across the manufacturing process. The position would suit someone who combines strong quality management knowledge with a practical approach to resolving issues and improving performance on the shop floor. Key Responsibilities: Manage and develop the Quality Management System, maintaining alignment with ISO 9001 requirements and relevant customer specifications. Lead internal audits and coordinate preparation for external, customer and certification audits. Oversee quality control throughout incoming materials, production and finished product inspection. Investigate non-conformances, customer complaints and supplier quality issues, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions. Work with production teams to identify the causes of defects, reduce waste and prevent recurring quality problems. Maintain clear inspection procedures, quality records and product traceability. Ensure inspection and measuring equipment is appropriately maintained and calibrated. Monitor quality performance and report trends, risks and improvement priorities to senior management.
