The company supplies high-value equipment used across areas such as construction, utilities, civil engineering, infrastructure, waste management, environmental services, industrial services, and maintenance operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business, managing existing customer relationships, and identifying commercial opportunities across the UK market.

The Role

As Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for generating sales growth by building strong customer relationships, understanding operational challenges, and presenting suitable technical equipment solutions. This is a customer-facing role involving regular site visits, demonstrations, technical discussions, client meetings, and ongoing account development. You will be expected to work closely with customers across operational, technical, and senior decision-maker levels.

The role would suit a self-motivated, commercially driven sales professional who is comfortable selling specialist equipment into demanding, practical, and technically led environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare proposals, negotiate terms, and close sales in line with agreed targets.
  • Monitor market activity, competitor movement, and sector trends to identify further growth opportunities.
  • Work closely with internal sales, service, and operational teams to ensure customers receive a professional experience.
  • Support marketing activity, exhibitions, and industry events where required.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and customer feedback.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will have proven B2B sales experience within a technical, machinery, plant, equipment, or industrial services environment. You will need to demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in field sales, regional sales, business development, or key account management.
  • A track record of selling into sectors such as construction, utilities, infrastructure, waste, environmental services, industrial services, or heavy industry.
  • Experience selling specialist equipment, capital machinery, plant, engineered products, or technical services would be highly advantageous.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with customers at operational, technical, and senior decision-maker level.
  • Confidence discussing equipment applications, customer requirements, and practical site-based solutions.
  • Good CRM and Microsoft Office skills.
  • A self-motivated, target-driven, and organised approach.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the UK.

  • £40,000 - £55,000 basic salary, depending on experience.
  • Company car or car allowance.
  • Sales commission structure.
  • Permanent, full-time position.
  • UK-wide sales role with genuine autonomy.
  • Opportunity to work within a specialist technical equipment sector.
  • Supportive team environment and long-term career development.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused Regional Sales Manager who understands technical selling and enjoys working closely with customers in practical, site-based industries.
