A well-established engineering business specialising in lift, hoist and vertical access equipment is looking to recruit experienced Mobile Lift Engineers to support installation, commissioning, service, repair and maintenance work across customer sites throughout the UK and Ireland. This is a varied mobile role suited to a hands-on, multi-skilled engineer with strong electrical and mechanical ability. Previous lift industry experience would be highly advantageous, although engineers with relevant experience from heavy machinery, industrial equipment, traction systems, rack and pinion equipment, hoists, cranes, access equipment or similar environments will also be considered.

The Package:

The Role:
As a Mobile Lift Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, maintaining, fault-finding and repairing specialist lift and hoist equipment on customer sites. You will travel regularly as part of the role, working independently for periods of time while also being supported by a wider technical and management team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out electrical and mechanical installation and commissioning work on lift and vertical access equipment.
- Working on traction lifts, hoists and associated lifting systems across customer sites.
- Completing service, repair, fault-finding and reactive maintenance work.
- Testing and inspecting equipment in line with LOLER standards.
- Providing technical support to customers when required.
- Working independently on site while maintaining communication with management and support teams.
- Maintaining company vehicles, tools, equipment and documentation to the required standard.
- Liaising professionally with customers, contractors, site teams, office staff and colleagues.
- Delivering a high standard of customer service at all times.
- Organising your own workload and keeping management updated on daily activity.
- Working safely and professionally in industrial, construction and site-based environments.
About You:
The successful candidate is likely to have:
Desirable Experience:
- Previous lift industry experience.
- Experience with traction lifts, hoists, rack and pinion lifting equipment or vertical access systems.
- NVQ Level 3 in Maintenance, Lift Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar.
- LOLER testing, inspection or compliance experience.
- Previous experience working away from home regularly.

- Strong electrical and mechanical engineering ability.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Valid passport.
- Comfortable working at heights.
- Willingness to travel across the UK and Ireland, with occasional international travel where required.
- Ability to work remotely and independently for extended periods.
