A well-established and successful facilities management company based in Coventry are currently looking for a commercially-experienced and multi-skilled Carpenter to join their team on a permanent basis.
Qualifications & Experience required:
- Minimum of an NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 Carpentry qualification is essential
- Clean UK Driving Licence is required
- CSCS Card
- Commercial Carpentry experience is essential - ideally from a property maintenance or facilities management setting but similar commercial maintenance or fit-out work would also be considered
- Experience of carrying out a variety of multi-skilled maintenance, repairs, refurbishment and installations including plumbing, fabric maintenance, basic electrical jobs, painting & decorating etc. will be required
Duties will include:
- Travelling to commercial sites including schools, hospitals, leisure facilities, care homes, retail outlets, offices and workplaces across the wider Midlands region and sometimes UK wide when required
- Undertaking a wide range of carpentry tasks including but not limited to hanging doors, fitting skirting and architraves, cabinetry, shelving, flooring, roofing, re-fixing door handles, loose hinges, cupboard doors, shower fixings and hand rails, basic plumbing repairs and replacement fittings, toilet seat replacements, re-fixing carpet/carpet tiles etc.
- Full office refurbishments including; fitting of skirting and architrave, hanging doors, toilet cubicle installation, IPS panel installations, installation of digital locks, hanging new blinds, ceiling grid installs, etc.
- General landscaping and outside area modifications if required
- Undertaking further training when necessary to be able to deliver the best possible customer service
- Keeping relevant job information up to date using tablet / laptop
- Communicating well with both customers and internal staff to keep everyone fully informed of job progress or issues found etc.
- Carrying out the job correctly, and on a right the first time basis, within a pre-determined timescale

Additional Information:
- This position is a PAYE permanent job role which will likely suit candidates previously working in a company-employed position.
- Working hours are: 40 per week (Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm with 30 mins lunch break)
- Company van and tablet etc. is provided
- 28 Days holiday including Bank holidays
