We are recruiting for a dependable and hands-on Production / Warehouse Operative to join our team based in Aston, Birmingham.
This is a varied, multi-skilled position combining delivery driving, warehouse operations, stock control, basic fabrication/welding repairs, and general site maintenance.
This role would suit someone practical, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
What We’re Looking For
- Full UK driving licence (with up to 3 points maximum)
- Previous stock control experience
- Basic MIG Welding experience
- Experience with minor / light fabrication & repair work
- Comfortable with manual handling and physical work
- Basic computer skills (data entry / time recording)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Ideally have some experience supporting field engineers or site teams
Warehouse Operations & Minor Repairs
- Assist with loading and unloading goods
- Organise stock and maintain a clean, safe warehouse environment
- Carry out repairs (e. g. lath repairs, flashings, light fabrication & welding duties)
- Follow all health & safety procedures
The Role - Delivery & Collections
- Safely operate company vehicles for deliveries and collections
- Ensure accurate and timely deliveries with correct documentation
- Obtain and manage delivery receipts
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and basic daily checks
Stock Control
- Monitor and track stock movement
- Receive and inspect deliveries for quantity and condition
- Update stock records accurately using internal systems
- Support inventory accuracy and organisation
Operational Support
- Provide occasional cover as a Fitter’s Mate for Field Engineering teams (holiday/sickness cover)
- Carry out routine site maintenance across warehouse, offices and external areas
- Support general building upkeep tasks
