A successful and well-established industrial materials storage business based in Bedford is currently looking for a capable and motivated Warehouse Operative with a valid (or recently expired) Forklift Counterbalance Licence, to join their busy team.

Position Summary: This position is responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packaging and despatching products in an industrial warehouse setting and occasionally carrying out local deliveries using a Full UK Driving Licence and flat-bed vehicle.

Duties will include:

  • Manual handling of large industrial metalwork and materials
  • Safely operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck
  • Driving of company vehicles to occasionally deliver products to customers
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Working as part of a team and carrying out other duties as and when required to assist other departments when needed

Requirements / Previous Experience:

  • Previous experience working in a warehouse environment
  • A valid, clean UK driving licence (or minor points accepted)
  • Current or recent Forklift Truck Licence is essential (refresher training can be provided if licence has recently expired)
  • Manual handling experience and capabilities
  • Ability to use computer systems to log information and job details etc.
  • Willingness to drive company vehicles to deliver products on occasion
