An established manufacturing business is looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join its busy maintenance team at its Kidderminster facility. Working as part of an experienced maintenance team, you will play a key role in keeping production running efficiently while helping to minimise downtime across a modern manufacturing operation.

The Role:

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of production equipment, ensuring machinery remains safe, reliable and operating at maximum efficiency. You will be involved in planned preventative maintenance, reactive breakdowns, fault finding and continuous improvement activities across the site.

Equipment includes:

  • Heavy industrial machinery
  • Heat treatment equipment
  • Robotic systems
  • Hydraulic and mechanical presses
  • Associated manufacturing equipment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and diagnose electrical faults
  • Repair and maintain manufacturing machinery and plant equipment
  • Work alongside production teams to minimise downtime
  • Complete maintenance documentation accurately using the computer-based system
  • Participate in detailed shift handovers
  • Support continuous improvement and plant reliability initiatives
  • Carry out root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions
  • Maintain excellent health and safety standards at all times

About You:

We are looking for someone who enjoys fault finding, solving problems and working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will ideally have:

  • Apprentice-trained Electrical Engineering qualification
  • Strong electrical fault-finding skills
  • Mechanical maintenance knowledge would be advantageous
  • Ability to read electrical drawings and technical documentation
  • Experience within heavy manufacturing, foundry, die casting or similar industrial environments
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team

The following would be advantageous but are not essential:

  • Forklift licence
  • Overhead crane licence
