Location: Coventry (Midlands-based and occasional National travel)

Pay: £18.50 - £20.00 per hour (PAYE)

Permanent position

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established Facilities Management company based in Coventry, who are looking to appoint a qualified Carpenter on a permanent basis due to increased workload. This is a hands-on, varied role working across planned and reactive maintenance, alongside fit-out and refurbishment projects mainly across the Midlands.

The Role

  • Carrying out planned and reactive carpentry maintenance
  • Supporting fit-out and renovation works
  • Undertaking occasional multi-trade tasks where required
  • Working across commercial and public sector environments
  • Travel across the Midlands, with very occasional overnight stays

Requirements

  • Minimum Level 2 qualification in Carpentry & Joinery (City & Guilds or NVQ)
  • Ideally have a CSCS Card (but not essential)
  • Proven experience within maintenance, FM, or fit-out environments
  • Ability to carry out multi-trade tasks when needed
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Own set of tools required - specialist equipment can be supplied
  • Reliable, professional, and comfortable working as part of a team

This role is ideal for candidates with a short or immediate notice period. Applicants must be experienced in working as a direct employee (PAYE) rather than operating as a subcontractor or self-employed.
