About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Live-in Carer to join a dedicated team supporting a client with complex needs in a beautiful, quiet rural area of Tewkesbury. This is a specialized, permanent role requiring a carer with experience in complex care. You will be part of a fixed, long-term team providing 2:1 support, ensuring you always have another staff member working alongside you. This position offers a consistent 2-weeks-on, 2-weeks-off rotation, allowing you to provide high-quality, person-centered care while maintaining an excellent work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized support for a non-verbal client living with Advanced Huntington’s Disease.
  • Administer PEG medication and feeding according to clinical guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively within a 2:1 care model to ensure the highest safety standards.
  • Liaise professionally with the client's family who live next door and visit daily.
  • Ensure the client’s comfort and dignity while taking a scheduled 2-hour break each day.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in complex care, ideally involving Huntington’s Disease and PEG systems.
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Live-In Carer.
  • Strong sense of empathy, patience, and a natural ability to build trust with a non-verbal client.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively within a small, fixed team and with the client’s family.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and unrestricted Right to Work in the UK.
  • Availability to attend 5 days of classroom Induction in Cheltenham, Salisbury or Chippenham.
