We are looking for a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to provide complex care to a client in Wiltshire. The position requires 12-hour shifts, including a rotation of days and waking nights. A full UK driving licence is essential.
Main Duties And Responsibilities:
- Remaining awake and alert for the entirety of the shift.
- Completing regular checks for health and welfare.
- Supporting the customer with their personal care needs.
- Supporting the customer to meet their outcomes.
- Administering medication.
- Use of moving and assisting equipment such as ceiling track hoists, electric wheelchairs, floor lifts, toto’s etc.
- Encouraging independence where possible.
Knowledge of spinal injury, autonomic dysreflexia, diabetes, stoma care and catheter care is desirable but if not, we can provide full training.
Requirements:
- 1 year+ complex care PEG feeding and oxygen management (training provided for the right candidate)
- GCSE maths and English or Equivalent
- Must hold a FULL UK driving license
- Comfortable with cats
- Comfortable around smoke
