Retain Healthcare, a leading provider of Homecare staffing, Agency staffing, and Social Care Training across the Southwest, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our team of three.

Location: Cheltenham, UK

Sector: Health & Social Care

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales ledger
    • Produce invoices on a weekly, 4 weekly and monthly basis
    • Cross reference invoices to care system to ensure all rates are accurate
    • Assist the Credit Controller and Branch managers in resolving any discrepancies
  • Purchase Ledger
    • Posting purchase invoices and Credit notes
    • Processing credit card purchases
    • Posting petty cash
  • Additional Finance Duties
    • Assisting the Finance Manager with the weekly payroll in the absence of the Payroll Assistant
    • General Finance support as required by the business

About you:

  • You must be organized, methodical and detail oriented
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a team
  • Eagerness to learn and grow professionally

Skills & Experience:

  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Previous experience of using Xero is advantageous although not essential
  • Excellent communication skills
