As a Sales Assistant, you are the face of our brand on the shop floor – a true brand ambassador. Each day you create moments that bring customers smile and delight, recommending products, finding gifts, and helping with their shopping missions. You keep the store well‑stocked, tidy, safe, and welcoming, while supporting your teammates to create a smooth and inclusive environment that brings our brand purpose, values, and behaviours to life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient service to every customer.
  • Maintain excellent store standards, including merchandising, cleanliness, and stock replenishment.
  • Operate tills accurately and handle transactions with care.
  • Support deliveries, stockroom organisation, and product availability.
  • Follow all operational procedures, including health & safety and loss prevention.
  • Work collaboratively with your team to meet store targets and KPIs.
  • Stay informed about promotions, products, and services to help customers make informed choices.
  • Represent The Works brand with professionalism and positivity.

Keyholder Responsibilities (If applicable)

  • Open and close the store securely.
  • Support cash handling and store security.
  • Coach and manage colleagues when managers are absent.
  • Carry out management responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements & Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, managing stairs and heavy stock.
  • Comfortable using tills and handling cash.
  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible to work varied shifts.
  • Previous experience in customer service or hospitality, preferably in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
  • Positive, can‑do attitude and team‑player mindset.
