We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a catering assistant based in the kitchen and dining areas of Eborn House. If you are passionate about preparing, presenting, and serving good quality nutritious food and have a kind nature, listening ear, and genuine compassion for older and disabled people, then we want to hear from you!
Duties of the post:
- Prepare, present, and serve food to the highest standards for our customers, who are older residents living on our retirement estate.
- Serve our customers professionally, ensuring all customers are served correctly, quickly, and in a pleasant and courteous manner.
- Ensure the highest level of cleanliness and food hygiene is maintained at all times.
- Assist with stock control and food orders.
- Undertake food cooking/baking with support and instruction as required.
- Complete all necessary legal and regulatory paperwork as required, i.e., cleaning schedules, temperature records, and health and safety reports.
- Clean and tidy up the kitchen and dining areas during and after service.
Requirements:
- You will have good communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
- Experience in working and serving the elderly would be beneficial but not essential.
- Knowledge of HACCP regulations and Basic Food Hygiene required.
