Join our team at M&S as a Visual Merchandiser, where you'll become a champion of our stylish products and influencer of the latest trends. We're seeking passionate individuals who take pride in their eye for fashion and want to delight our customers every day.

Your primary focus will be on creating remarkable visual displays that attract and engage customers, ensuring our products are presented in the most eye-catching way. You’ll also actively collaborate with the team to implement effective merchandising strategies. A full work pattern will be discussed with successful candidates at the interview stage of their application.

Purpose

  • To deliver a great shopping experience for customers, putting customers before tasks every time.
  • Being digitally confident is essential. You’ll utilise our digital tools, such as the Sparks App, to enhance both the customer experience and ensure they get the products they want when they need them.
  • Efficiency and effectiveness are key aspects of your role. You’ll be a skilled operator, consistently maintaining high standards in visual presentation.
  • Being a team player is crucial. You’ll take responsibility for creating a great, inclusive store environment, supporting and respecting your colleagues and our customers.
  • Flexibility is vital. You should be confident in working effectively across multiple areas within the store and in adapting to the changing demands of the retail environment.

Key Accountabilities

  • Dress and style mannequins to the agreed standard each launch and throughout the season as required.
  • Deliver seasonal Window implementation.
  • Deliver ‘best in town’ standards through presentation standards, VM Principles, availability and keeping the store clean and tidy.
  • Work alongside C&H colleagues to ensure the correct implementation of POS each season.
  • Serve our customers efficiently and brilliantly well – on the shop floor and at service points.
  • Skilled to utilise all digital tools and communication channels to do the job.
  • Share customer and colleague feedback to help us do things better.
  • Share knowledge and experience with colleagues to support others in building skills and confidence.
  • Own their own learning & development and proactively access digital learning solutions.
  • Know the daily sales targets, priorities, promotions & selling opportunities.
  • Have great product knowledge to sell and recommend our products and services.
  • Proactively engage with customers to understand their needs and make recommendations.
  • Understand the store priorities and their part to play.
  • Complete tasks with pace and in line with SOPs.
  • Minimise cost and waste through good process practice.
  • Follow safe and legal working practices.
