Our Head Office department is located in the heart of Piccadilly and occupies the 5th & 6th floor of our beautiful flagship store. This central London location offers so much to explore including restaurants, bars, cultural sites, shopping and more, and is only a short walk from the Green Park Tube Station and plenty of bus stops.
Role Purpose: The purpose of this role is to collaborate with the Supply Chain team and provide data driven insights and enhanced analytics, which covers all end-to-end elements of the Supply Chain. To support the Operational Leadership Team and wider business through analytical insight; commercial business decision support; provision of relevant, timely information to ensure informed and 'optimal' decisions are made; to provide commercial challenge to channel owners to help drive improved contribution, highlighting risks and opportunities to plans and forecast as they arise and help drive mitigation.
Key Accountabilities:
- Financial Analysis & Reports: Support with Monday morning sales reporting, monthly PLC and Board Pack data consolidation. Support the wider business with Power BI reporting, the automation of reporting and building of KPI dashboards. Work with IT and the 3PL to integrate data into F&M systems to facilitate report automation and one source of the truth across the business. Track the variance between short term plans to longer term forecasts and budget as part of S&OP, enabling the business to identify trends and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Own/deliver the budget, financial forecasting and operating plans and process for your channels including supporting 3PL, internal and external distribution. Ensure smooth sign off with relevant directors. Monitor performance against budget/forecast with relevant stakeholders on a monthly basis and feedback highlights to the finance team via the monthly P&L meeting. Roll and send out WSSI templates and consolidation. Upload budget & forecast onto the system and breakdown sales targets by day for each channel. Support FP&A manager in budget delivery, budget packs and data upload. Support the implementation of new forecasting process for supply chain working closely with the 3PL, the distribution team and Buying and Merchandising to ensure end to end forecasting which aligns with outbound sales and the forecasted buy. Ability to flex budget models with change in demand so volume forecasts can be updated and used for operational planning.
- Business Partnering: Own/deliver business reporting for your channels that is fit for purpose - using Business Intelligence Tool and Dashboard reports. Improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies (productivity and processes). Review and investigate DC costs, productivity vs budget and flex. Work closely with the DC projects business partner to t-shirt size operational projects and help guide the business on which projects should be prioritised. Continue to review the DC roadmap with DC transformation team. Working with the Distribution Director and 3PL to identify any capacity risk and identify mitigation strategies. Use the OLT to update on what are the risk/opportunities to plan, particularly around peak and 'mini peaks'. Calculate and review cost to serve by channel vs budget and vs LY. Prepare presentations to Exec Board and Senior Management Team.
- Strategic Planning: Oversee 5 Year Plan from a commercial finance perspective ensuring all project benefits are built into subsequent plans/forecast. Develop tracking mechanisms to measure improvements and that performance against projects are monitored with learnings built into future projects. Gain insight from market metrics and attend conferences and third-party events where possible to expand network and gain further understanding of market conditions. Support business case modelling for supply chain including warehouse optimisation, last mile costs and any other productivity improvements.
- Risk & Ops Management and mitigation: Manage risks & ops through monthly performance cycle with business partners & stakeholders. Keep a record of risks & ops from sales through to trading profit, working through challenges with relevant stakeholders and plans to mitigate risks.
Role Specific Criteria (Experience/Behaviours/Technical Ability): We expect the successful candidate to have the following skills and experience: ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified or part qualified. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, index matches, if formula, pivots etc. An in-depth knowledge of end to end Supply Chain processes. Ability to develop data platforms and commercial reports. Proven track record in delivering and creating company reports. Highest standards of accuracy and precision; Highly organized and an ability to multi-task at speed. Articulate with excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills. Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated. Experience in multi-unit retail/restaurant environments (desired). Use of Business intelligence platform, such as Power BI, D365 or similar tools (desired). Ability to manage objections and conflicts in an effective way.
