About the role

As a finance professional with a passion for capital investment, you will lead the investment appraisal process, build business cases, and deliver post‑investment reviews that shape future capital decisions. You will also drive the transition to modern BI tools and create self‑service capital reporting.

Your Opportunity

  • Lead the end‑to‑end investment appraisal process and develop robust business cases.
  • Build and maintain repeatable business case frameworks and templates.
  • Own the post‑investment review process and translate learnings into actionable insights.
  • Lead the transition to modern BI tools such as Sigma (or equivalent).
  • Act as the primary finance partner for Facilities Management capital investment and support other operational teams.
  • Build trusted relationships with operational stakeholders and finance colleagues.
  • Collaborate with Capex Accounting to improve data quality and governance.
  • Contribute to periodic reporting and cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Operationalise strategic frameworks and document processes to support the team.

What we'd like you to bring

  • Professional accounting or finance qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent.
  • Strong data analysis skills and ability to derive actionable insight.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling with advanced Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills – translate complex analysis into clear narrative.
  • Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams and building stakeholder relationships.
  • Broad knowledge of capital accounting, cash‑flow management, and financial reporting standards.
  • Process improvement and project management capability.
  • Capital investment appraisal experience and business case building (central to the role).
  • Experience with BI tools such as Sigma or Tableau (desirable).
  • Knowledge of hospitality, leisure, or multi‑site operations (advantageous).
