Role Overview

The Assistant Location Accountant supports the Location Accountant and Finance Business Partner in delivering effective financial management. This role focuses on analysing financial performance, supporting cost control and revenue growth, maintaining accurate financial records, and contributing to overall business success through strong collaboration with on-site teams.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a finance role
  • Hospitality or catering experience desirable
  • Studying towards an accountancy qualification
  • Strong Excel and financial systems skills
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
  • Proactive, collaborative and adaptable approach

Key Responsibilities

  • Support P&L reporting and financial analysis
  • Assist with forecasting and budgeting processes
  • Monitor weekly performance and provide insights
  • Ensure accurate stocktakes and inventory records
  • Consolidate EPOS data for reporting
  • Maintain financial records, journals and reconciliations
  • Manage purchase ledger and invoice processing
  • Support month‑end processes
  • Produce labour forecasts and variance analysis
  • Assist with client billing and income analysis
  • Train teams on financial processes and controls

  • Reporting Accuracy: financial variance within agreed thresholds
  • Timeliness: reports delivered on schedule
  • Forecasting Accuracy: forecast vs actual within target range
  • Analysis Quality: clear, actionable financial insights
  • Inventory Control: minimal stock discrepancies
  • Cost Management: reduction in controllable costs
  • Invoice Processing: efficient turnaround with minimal disputes
  • Compliance: accurate cash handling and reconciliation
