The Customer Experience & Marketing team has an exciting opportunity for two Customer Experience Learning Specialists to join the team. This role is remote, with frequent visits to London and national travel to deliver face-to-face training. We seek candidates who excel at building strong, consultative relationships and rapport. This is a great opportunity for a passionate, self-motivated sales professional interested in working in-house to promote Barchester's brand standards.

As a Customer Experience Learning Specialist, your primary responsibility is to effectively deliver learning solutions across Barchester Healthcare that increase occupancy through converting prospective care home residents and short-stay clients to permanent residents.

Required Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience as a Learning and Development specialist, with a focus on sales and conversion
  • Proven growth in commercial success resulting from learning interventions
  • Strong understanding of best-in-class sales and customer experience practices in a fast-paced, multi-channel environment
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to travel regularly across the UK, including overnight stays
  • Understanding of customer experience design and change management
Role and Responsibilities
  • Understand current enquiry and sales practices, immersing yourself in the enquiry-to-admission process
  • Become familiar with Customer & Resident Experience elements, including Life Enrichment and the Customer Journey, identifying missed opportunities
  • Identify key conversion points and develop training to optimise these, using customer insights to inform actions
  • Support the design of structured learning initiatives to improve occupancy and customer experience, both technical and skill-based
  • Support a digital-first approach, complemented by blended training methods tailored to operator needs
  • Travel nationally as needed for face-to-face training sessions
  • Create effective learning environments with appropriate tools and systems
  • Prepare training materials to ensure high-quality delivery
  • Implement training modules into the Barchester Learning and Development platform and HRIS, including testing and pilots
  • Maintain resources supporting sales and occupancy success for current and future leaders
  • Provide ongoing coaching to leaders on a one-to-one basis as required
