Pay and hours
Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £13.35 per hour. Additional payments may apply depending on location. It’s our policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week; options to work fewer hours (minimum of 12) are also available.
Role and responsibilities
- Deliver your part of the customer shopping trip, ensuring the van and trays are clean and tidy.
- Leave the back yard clean and pick up litter as needed.
- Ensure trays are washed as part of the tray wash process.
- Load the van as required and check van roadworthiness.
- Communicate with customers about changes to orders, including substitutions, and offer refunds where appropriate.
- Handle products/deliveries with care and deliver within the customer’s time slot.
- Call the customer before arriving if early; call the store/centre if running 30 minutes late.

- Be warm and welcoming in interactions with customers and colleagues and show appreciation.
- Respond quickly to changing customer needs and embrace change within the store.
- Be energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations while balancing home and work life.
- Share ideas with your Manager and colleagues on store improvements.
- A valid UK/EU/EEA Driving licence (Full or Automatic only) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
