We\’re looking for an experienced and supportive Contingent Worker Specialist, to lead a team that manages the recruitment of temporary staff and contractors across Harrods. You\’ll ensure the contingent hiring process runs smoothly, efficiently, and in line with UK legal requirements like the Agency Workers Regulations 2010 and IR35. About the Role
In this role, you will:
Manage and develop a team of recruitment coordinators, providing coaching, training, and performance reviews to maintain high recruitment standards and compliance.
Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process for temporary and contract workers, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements including employment law and GDPR.
Develop and implement standardised recruitment workflows that promote consistency, efficiency, and compliance.
Lead peak seasonal recruitment projects, working closely with specialist agencies and internal stakeholders to meet business needs.
Manage relationships with preferred recruitment agencies, setting clear SLAs and driving performance improvements.
Collaborate with business leaders to forecast contingent labour needs and support workforce agility.
Analyse recruitment data to identify trends and opportunities, preparing reports and insights for leadership.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant UK legislation and work with Legal, Procurement, and Finance teams to ensure compliance and risk management.
Drive continuous improvements to the temporary worker onboarding experience, retention, and engagement.
About You
You will have experience managing recruitment teams, passionate about compliance and operational excellence. You have a solid understanding of UK contingent workforce legislation and best practices. Your ability to develop your team, build strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders, and improve recruitment processes sets you apart.
You\’re organised, proactive, and excel at balancing multiple priorities while delivering a positive experience for candidates and hiring managers alike. Your strong communication skills help you influence and collaborate effectively across teams.
Experience in contingent workforce recruitment, familiarity with Agency Workers Regulations and IR35, and a background in managing supplier relationships are essential.
