Peak Yamaha is a premier Yamaha motorcycle dealership based in Gaborone, renowned for its upmarket showroom and state‑of‑the‑art workshop facilities. We specialise in the sales and servicing of motorcycles, quad bikes, generators, golf carts, as well as genuine spares and accessories. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking to appoint a dynamic, detail‑oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile payables and receivables, including follow‑up on outstanding payment
- Liaise with suppliers, customers, and manage credit applications
- Maintain inventory, fixed asset records, and review goods received/returned documentation
- Oversee cash flow, bank reconciliations, and foreign exchange transactions
- Prepare management accounts, budgets, and financial statements
- Post journal entries and prepare audit working papers
- Process payroll and maintain employee records and leave schedules
- Manage statutory compliance, including VAT, PAYE, withholding tax, and tax clearance
- Reconcile intercompany transactions and ensure accurate financial reporting
Applicant Skill Requirements
- Computer literate with strong proficiency in MS Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional organisational and time management abilities
Knowledge & Experience
- Strong accounting background with hands‑on experience in taxes, budgeting, and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification
- Minimum of three (3) years' relevant accounting experience
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Verifiable and traceable references
