About Resurrect Bio
Resurrect Bio is a VC-backed plant biotech start‑up that discovers how to make crops resistant to disease using gene editing. We fix the immune system of crop species and resurrect resistance genes that have been defeated by pathogens and pests, restoring crop resistance without introducing new DNA. Our focus is to deliver a better way for farmers to protect plants, increasing food production, reducing land for agriculture and mitigating climate change. In December 2021, Resurrect Bio was spun out of The Sainsbury Lab, Norwich. We have attracted financial support from several VC firms and UK Government grant funding.

Required Experience
- Business development / partnerships role in the seed or ag biotech industry
- Licensing‑out of traits, technologies, or intellectual property
- Experience working with incumbent seed companies (multinationals and regionals)
- Structuring and negotiating commercial agreements
- Building and managing a small number of high‑value partnerships
Additional skills + nice to haves
- Great communicator
- Presentation and public speaking experience
- Startup experience not essential, but understanding of startups/scaleups is nice to have
Qualifications
An undergraduate degree is essential, post‑graduate degrees preferred. This is an experienced‑based role which is more important in our hiring decisions. All additional role‑specific qualifications and certifications will be considered.
