About Resurrect Bio: Resurrect Bio is a VC-backed plant biotech start‑up that discovers how to make crops resistant to disease using gene editing. We fix the immune system of crop species and resurrect resistance genes that have been defeated by pathogens and pests, restoring crop resistance without introducing new DNA. Our focus is to deliver a better way for farmers to protect plants, increasing food production, reducing land for agriculture and mitigating climate change. In December 2021, Resurrect Bio was spun out of The Sainsbury Lab, Norwich. We have attracted financial support from several VC firms and UK Government grant funding.
