About the role
This role will focus on the oversight of a particular region of the UK: managing key relationships with churches, overseeing Programme Managers in the delivery of Spear and offering a wide range of other training and support.

- A practising Christian, passionate about personally representing the values and beliefs of Spear, and our mission to equip and support young people facing barriers to employment.
- Passionate about supporting young people facing serious barriers to achieve sustainable employment.
- Extensive coaching experience and a deep understanding of the Spear programme, as well as the way it is run in partnership with churches, are essential.
- Strong leadership skills with experience of developing people at management level, using coaching techniques.
- An excellent communicator with strong relational skills and the ability to develop a rapport with and positively influence a variety of people from diverse backgrounds and professional levels.
- Experience of designing training to a variety of audiences and collaborating with colleagues and senior leaders throughout the organisation to ensure L&D priorities are aligned with the organisation’s objectives.
- Strong numerical, reporting and organisational skills, including the ability to establish appropriate and effective processes and structures.
- Demonstration of leadership capabilities; proactive, responsive and a self-starter.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities to meet targets and deadlines.
- IT literate with a good working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to operate flexibly in a changing and dynamic environment.
