We are looking for a dedicated coach to help young people develop the skills and mindset they need to step into the workforce. The role is embedded in a vibrant church community and offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact.
Responsibilities
- Lead group coaching sessions for up to 10 young people, using coaching skills to transform mindsets and maximise potential for the world of work.
- Prepare and deliver weekly coaching sessions, running application workshops with past trainees and maintaining records and reporting on statistics.
- Build and manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including referrers, local businesses, and other organisations.
- Support job fairs, mock interview days and welcome external visitors to the centre.
- Help raise the profile of the Spear programme within The Mount and build a network of supporters and volunteers from the congregation.
- Perform other ad hoc responsibilities for the church as needed.
Qualifications
- An active Christian who can personally represent the values and beliefs of Resurgo and The Mount.
- Passion for social justice and for working as part of the church to transform communities, especially supporting young people in employment or education.
- A commitment to grow and learn spiritually and as a Christian leader, and a desire to learn and understand coaching techniques.
- Confident communication and interpersonal skills, both over telephone and face to face, with confidence in group facilitation.
- An ambitious and self‑motivated individual who can prioritise workload, exercise initiative and work well under pressure.
- High emotional intelligence, a sense of humour and fun.
