Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Manager to take on a hands‑on and influential role within the organisation. Reporting to the COO and working closely with senior leadership, you will provide expert HR support across the business, ensuring people practices align with company values and commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Partnering with the executive team to support organisational growth and transformation.
- Overseeing all aspects of employee relations, talent acquisition, and retention strategies.
- Driving performance management processes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Managing and developing HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance and best practice.
- Championing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives across the business.
- Advising on workforce planning and succession strategies.
- Leading on key HR projects, including organisational change, culture initiatives, and leadership development.
- Ensuring adherence to employment law and mitigating risks within the business.
- Supporting leadership and line managers with coaching and development.
Key Requirements
You will be a seasoned HR generalist who has operated at Manager level within a dynamic, fast‑paced environment and is comfortable acting as the sole HR lead in a business. You will combine strong HR knowledge and strategic awareness with a hands‑on, practical approach across employee relations, recruitment, performance management and HR administration. You will have solid experience supporting senior stakeholders, confidently advising, while also managing the detail and coordination that keeps HR operations running smoothly. Highly organised and self‑sufficient, you will be able to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously and will be comfortable working with external advisers such as lawyers, payroll providers and pensions specialists. Experience supporting geographically dispersed or multi‑jurisdiction teams across the UK and Europe is essential, along with a strong understanding of employment law, compliance and best practice HR policies, and knowing when to seek external advice. You will be proactive, resilient and collaborative, with the confidence to work autonomously in a standalone role. You will enjoy bringing structure, consistency and clarity to a growing organisation and be comfortable working in a predominantly office‑based environment. Experience within the industrial, construction or property sectors would be advantageous but is not essential.
