Due to an internal promotion, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and experienced learning and development professional to join a well-established training provider as Head of Learning and Programme Development. This senior role is central to the design, development, and delivery of impactful executive education and professional training programmes.

The Role

As Head of Learning and Programme Development, you will lead on shaping innovative, market‑responsive training solutions. You’ll ensure all programmes are well‑designed and aligned to client needs, while also expanding into new subject areas. You’ll take charge of quality assurance, accreditation processes, and trainer management, playing a key role in maintaining high standards across delivery. This role requires someone with a strong background in training design and implementation, who is confident working with subject‑matter experts, leading accreditation audits, and overseeing a diverse trainer network.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Oversee review and development of training programmes to ensure market relevance
  • Design bespoke and customised training solutions for a global client base
  • Lead the accreditation process and ensure ongoing compliance
  • Manage recruitment, briefing, and quality control of trainers and training materials
  • Work cross‑functionally with client‑facing, business development, and marketing teams
  • Serve as a key point of contact for external accreditation and quality bodies

About You

  • 10+ years of experience in education or training programme management working for a training company or training providers
  • Or you will have a background in internal learning and development departments and have developed training course portfolios
  • Professionals who have developed practical training courses for experienced managers and leaders
  • Skilled in strategic planning and training needs analysis
  • Track record of delivering high‑quality, results‑driven learning interventions
  • Organised, proactive, and solutions‑focused, with a collaborative mindset
