Job Description
HGV Class 2 DriverLocation: Exeter, EX5 1EWSalary: £35,242.82 per annumContract Type: Permanent, Full TimeHours: 45 hours per week, Monday – Friday 5am – 6am start, 4pm – 5pm finish
We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Class 2 Driver to join our team. This position goes beyond driving, it involves visiting client sites, collecting confidential paper documents, and ensuring their safe transport and secure destruction.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Check the vehicle at the start of the shift, completing the defect sheet and reporting any defects
- Drive vehicles you are licensed to drive and comply with all Driver Regulations
- Use tachographs correctly and consistently
- Ensure all necessary equipment required for your duties is loaded before leaving the depot
- Review and understand all job sheets before leaving the depot
- Accurately record collection activities and customer data using the PDA
- Complete all jobs on time and correctly, either solo or with a driver’s assistant
- Ensure all paperwork is completed for each job, with items collected recorded and signed for by the client, with a copy handed in at the end of the shift
- Maintain the security and integrity of materials at all times
About you:
- Full UK Class 2 driving licence
- Possess good written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service
- Able to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times
- Happy handling tasks involving lifting and transporting materials
