About the role: As a Sales Development Representative, you will play a pivotal role in driving future business growth by identifying new opportunities and generating high-quality sales intelligence. Through detailed research, lead qualification and insight-driven reporting, you will enable the sales team to target the right customers with the right approach, directly influencing pipeline growth and commercial performance.
Duties & responsibilities:
- Research and identify new business opportunities, markets and target organisations
- Analyse industries, companies and competitors to generate actionable sales insights
- Generate and qualify leads through outbound calls, emails and networking activity
- Gather, interpret and present market data to support sales strategies
- Maintain accurate records of research activity and progress using Excel and internal systems
- Collaborate with sales and internal teams to support cross-selling opportunities
- Produce clear, concise reports to inform sales planning and decision-making
- Support the Sales Development Researcher in achieving new business targets
About you:
- Strong analytical and research capability with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders across the business
- Organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience in sales research, business development or lead generation, with LinkedIn Sales Navigator desirable
- Understanding of business development processes
