HR Business Partner – 6 Month FTC £35,000–£40,000 + Car Allowance Wolverhampton WV14 0UJ (Hybrid) – Nationwide Travel Required
Are you an experienced HR professional ready to make an immediate impact? We’re looking for a credible and proactive HR Business Partner to support the Head of People in delivering our people strategy across multiple business units. This is a fast‑paced, hands‑on role where you’ll coach managers, lead on key people initiatives, and help shape a high‑performance culture.
Main Purpose of the Role
You’ll partner with managers across the business to deliver high‑quality HR support, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations while driving key people priorities including training, development, employee relations, performance, engagement, and organisational design.
Partnering & People Delivery
- Provide proactive HR support to managers across multiple business units, ensuring smooth daily operations and high‑quality people practices.
- Lead and advise on complex employee relations matters, performance management, absence, and Trade Union engagement.
- Support organisational design, restructuring, TUPE, acquisitions, and major change projects.
- Produce accurate people MI to identify trends and drive improvements.
Talent, Learning & Culture
- Deliver and embed training and development initiatives, including operational skills, apprenticeships, and mandatory training compliance.
- Manage learning platforms and support wider Group L&D activity.
- Champion talent management, succession planning, and continuous learning, including leading apprenticeship and government‑led initiatives.
- Drive colleague engagement through post‑survey action planning and ongoing colleague insight.
Leadership Coaching & People Operations
- Coach managers to build capability in ER, performance, leadership, and change management.
- Ensure consistent, high‑quality colleague experiences through collaboration with People Operations.
- Support pay, T&Cs consultations, and TU negotiations with senior leaders.
- Maintain strong working knowledge of UK employment law and apply commercial, practical HR partnering.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) preferred.
- Experience delivering training in a multi‑site environment.
- Strong commercial awareness and field‑based HR business partnering experience.
- Proven experience managing complex ER issues.
- Background in large‑scale restructures and redundancies.
- Working knowledge of TUPE and experience supporting acquisition integrations.
- Experience leading pay, T&Cs consultations and Trade Union negotiations with senior management.
