Are you eager to make a real impact with your skills? We are looking for a motivated and experienced Document and Records Clerk to join our expanding team. Our production team plays a crucial role in maintaining the highest levels of data security, ensuring the secure handling and destruction of documents to keep our customers\’ information safe.

This role will involve handling and preparing documents before they are sent to the National Archives. You will be checking and organising all documents to ensure they are correct and accounted for, and that security and confidentiality are upheld at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Track, check, and protect customer information through careful handling and indexing of records
  • Prepare documents by unfolding, smoothing and checking all paperwork within the files
  • Remove obstructions such as staples, paperclips or additional pieces of paper as required
  • Tidy up the files (remove items and place them in new folders)
  • Use Excel to catalogue all items that are checked and prepped before sending

About You

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Very high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • IT skills and experience using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Flexible and adaptable attitude
  • Previous experience in document preparation is a plus
  • Previous experience in administrative positions is a plus
