Are you ready to play a key role in a fast-paced, secure, and environmentally focused operation? Restore Datashred is looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our Bedwas team and help us deliver outstanding service in confidential waste management.
As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll be at the core of our operations – ensuring waste materials are processed safely, securely, and efficiently. You’ll support daily warehouse activity, operate machinery, and help maintain a smooth-running, compliant environment.
Key Responsibilities- Loading and unloading confidential materials from vehicles safely and accurately
- Operating shredding and baling machines in line with safety and compliance protocols
- Carrying out daily, weekly, and monthly machinery checks
- Reporting equipment defects to reduce downtime
- Performing manual handling tasks using correct procedures
- Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy, and efficient
- Safely operating a Forklift (Counterbalance) or JCB Telehandler
- Occasionally assisting with customer collections when needed
- A strong commitment to Health & Safety standards
- Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Experience with FLT Counterbalance or JCB Telehandler is required
- Previous experience in recycling or confidential waste is an advantage, but we provide full training
- First Aid or Fire Marshal trained? Great! If not, no problem
