This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you’ll be at the heart of the action, making sure materials are processed efficiently, production targets are met, and health, safety and security standards are upheld. Your leadership and organisation will directly impact the quality of service we deliver to our customers every single day.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and monitor the receipt, order and dispatch material in and out of the warehouse.
- Use warehouse space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently, making sure quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives are met
- Have a clear understanding and implementation of the company\’s policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these
- Keep stock control systems up to date and make sure equipment inventories are accurate
- Plan future capacity requirements
- In collaboration with the WH organise the recruitment and training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance, progress and identifying training needs
- Motivate, organise and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded
- Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
- Supervise and motivate a team of workers
The ideal candidate will have
- Proven experience supervising and motivating a team
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to delegate effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to prioritise workloads and perform well under pressure
- Strong planning and organisational skills with great attention to detail
- The confidence to act decisively and solve problems logically and systematically
- Knowledge of legal requirements for operating a warehouse production facility
- FLT Counterbalance and/or JCB Telehandler experience (IOSH Certificate desirable)
