We are looking for an experienced Seasonal Pizza Chef to join our friendly kitchen team at our R ick S tein countryside pub, The C ornish A rms, in S t Merryn , Cornwall .

If you’re passionate about crafting the perfect pizza, this is the role for you! You’ll be preparing and cooking high-quality pizzas with care and precision, ensuring every dish is consistently delicious. You’ll take pride in running the pizza section, supporting and training junior chefs, maintaining top food safety standards, and managing stock efficiently to minimise waste.

Our story

R ick and J ill S tein started our family run business back in 1975, and today we employ over 600 happy staff. The business has grown from the first flagship seafood restaurant in P adstow to 10 restaurants across the south of England , plus hotel rooms, cookery school, shops and an online shop. Rick and J ill are still heavily involved in the business, as are their three sons E d, J ack and Charlie .

  • Travel to work – St M erryn is located on the Newquay bus route, with the bus stop a short walk from our pub and is an easy drive along the beautiful coast road from N ewquay and a short drive from P adstow and W adebridge .
  • Uniform- we provide our kitchen teams with chef whites.

The Cornish Arms in St. Merryn, offers a simple British pub menu, with dishes like real beef burgers, mussels and chips and scampi in the basket. In the summer guests can sit outside in the fresh Cornish air and enjoy some of St Austell Brewery’s best ales and a great selection of wines, or cosy up by our log fires in the colder weather with some comfort food.
