We are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Chef on a part time basis to join our kitchen team. This role suits someone who enjoys working as part of a small team, collaborating closely with the Head Chef, while also being confident running the kitchen independently during quieter shifts. You will be working with fresh, high-quality produce on a seasonally changing menu, so a good understanding of ingredients and a proactive, thoughtful approach to cooking is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely alongside the Head Chef in delivering day-to-day kitchen operations
- Confidently manage the kitchen and service independently when required
- Prepare and cook dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients
- Contribute to the development and evolution of a seasonally changing menu
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness
- Manage prep, stock rotation, and minimise waste
- Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation across all dishes
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a senior chef or strong chef de partie role
- Comfortable working both as part of a small team and independently
- Strong understanding of fresh produce and seasonality
- Ability to adapt to changing menus and service demands
- Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise effectively
