About the role:
The Junior Sous Chef plays a key role in supporting the senior kitchen team in delivering high-quality food and maintaining operational standards. This is a hands-on position focused on day-to-day kitchen operations, team supervision, and personal development towards a senior leadership role.
- Previous experience as a Senior Chef de Partie or same role ready to progress into a Junior Sous Chef role in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of food hygiene, kitchen safety, and stock control procedures.
- Ability to lead and motivate junior kitchen staff during busy service periods.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Passion for high-quality food preparation and consistency in presentation.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and as part of a team.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate preferred.
