Offering a competitive salary, monthly tips, and an annual £2,598 Islay Living Allowance (paid monthly) for all off‑site team. This is a full‑time position offered on a 40‑hour per week annualised contract.
Responsibilities
- Greeting guests warmly and providing excellent customer service.
- Ready for service by understanding the importance of mise en place and preparation ahead of time.
- Anticipating guests' needs and responding promptly to any requests or concerns.
- Preparing hot and cold beverages.
- Keeping the area you’re responsible for clean, tidy and organised.
- Taking part in team tasting sessions to gain an authentic understanding of our menus, answer guest questions and boost team creativity and rapport.
- Taking orders accurately and efficiently.
- Demonstrating a base knowledge of food and beverage within a quality‑driven hotel, restaurant, bar or hospitality environment.
- Prepared for service with a knowledge of our wine and whisky lists and availability.
- Recommending food and wine/whisky pairings.
- Handling cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently.

Skills and Qualifications
- Barista, waiting or bar experience, or other relevant experience in customer‑facing roles in retail or leisure.

Due to the remote location of our hotel, you’ll require a driving licence and access to a personal vehicle. Team accommodation within same‑sex residences is also available when possible.
