Restaurant Wholesale M40 8AD are seeking a professional and reliable Drop HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods, primarily utilising flatbed lorries. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a background in commercial driving and delivery operations. The position requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 2 HGV lorry, predominantly with flatbed configurations, ensuring compliance with all road safety regulations.
- Plan and execute daily delivery routes efficiently, maintaining punctuality and professionalism at all times.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring items are secured correctly on the flatbed to prevent damage during transit.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays.
- Uphold high standards of safety and cleanliness within the vehicle at all times.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence with relevant driving experience.
- Must be able to speak Bangla or Urdu.
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably in delivery roles involving flatbed vehicles.
- Work 5 days a week (no nights out).
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving.
- Experience with flatbed lorries and securing loads securely during transit.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage routes efficiently and adhere to schedules.
