We're looking for a hands-on and personable Chef Manager! You'll lead from the front, overseeing both the kitchen and overall operation, ensuring high standards of food, service, and client satisfaction. This is a great opportunity for a chef who wants to step further into the commercial side of the business while still being actively involved in the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
What you'll be doing as Chef Manager:
- Delivering high-quality food and service standards consistently
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Managing costs, GP, and ensuring financial targets are met
- Controlling stock, purchasing, and minimising food waste
- Driving retail and hospitality performance to increase revenue
- Leading, motivating, and developing your team
- Ensuring all health, safety, and food safety standards are met
- Analysing performance and implementing improvement plans
- Acting as a brand ambassador and promoting the site
What you'll need to succeed as Chef Manager:
- Experience as a Chef Manager, Head Chef, or a strong Sous Chef ready to step up
- A hands-on, positive, and team-focused leadership style
- Strong financial and commercial awareness
- Ability to manage and develop a team in a supportive environment
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Good understanding of health, safety, and food safety compliance
- Organised and proactive approach to managing operations
- Ideally experience within contract catering (preferred but not essential)
