Staff Dining Sous Chef needed in Blackfriars! Earn up to £19p/hour! We are looking for a Sous Chef to join our kitchen team within a premier global financial services company. Based in a fast‑paced corporate retail kitchen, this role combines high‑quality staff dining.
You will support the Head Chef in the smooth day‑to‑day running of the kitchen, helping deliver exceptional food and service standards while leading and motivating the wider kitchen team.
Responsibilities- Supporting the Head Chef and Executive Chef in all areas of kitchen operations
- Supervising and leading a kitchen team of approximately 10 staff during service
- Preparing, cooking, and presenting high‑quality dishes across staff dining and hospitality services
- Ensuring food quality, consistency, and presentation standards are maintained at all times
- Managing and organising kitchen workflow to ensure efficient service during busy periods
- Assisting with stock control, ordering, and deliveries using the Foodbuy platform
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene, allergen awareness, and health & safety standards
- Contributing creative ideas and maintaining awareness of current food trends
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous Chef experience within a high‑volume environment
- Experience within corporate catering, hospitality, or staff dining environments
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Good knowledge of food safety, allergens, and health & safety regulations
- A positive attitude and strong team‑focused approach
