This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Pastry Chef to showcase creativity and lead the delivery of innovative, seasonal desserts across retail, hospitality, and fine dining. What you will be doing as a Pastry Chef:
- Design and deliver innovative, seasonal weekly menus for a restaurant dessert station serving up to 250 covers daily, including plant-based options and desserts aligned with a healthy lifestyle.
- Prepare refined, fine-dining desserts for lunch and dinner bookings, ensuring exceptional presentation and consistency.
- Develop and deliver creative bread courses to complement fine-dining lunch and dinner services.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef on upcoming menus and culinary pop-ups, staying ahead of food trends to deliver modern, on-trend offerings.
- Foster a positive kitchen culture where the team feels motivated, engaged, and driven to continuously improve.
- Seek opportunities to engage with the wider London (or regional) food scene through stages, tours, and competitions, bringing back fresh ideas and innovations to the business.
- Continuously identify opportunities to enhance service standards, promote efficiency, and drive innovation across the kitchen.
What you will need to succeed as a Pastry Chef:
- An innovative approach to menu development that excites clients while remaining commercially viable.
- Proven experience within high-profile, high-volume dining environments.
- Experience in Michelin-starred kitchens would be advantageous.
- Strong commercial awareness, understanding food cost control, efficiency, and how to balance creativity with operational practicality.
- A collaborative and supportive leadership style.
- Ability to remain calm, courteous, and professional at all times.
