We are seeking an organised, proactive, and customer-focused Conference & Events Assistant Manager to join our team in London. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced events professional to take ownership of the planning, coordination, and delivery of a diverse programme of conferences, meetings, and events. You will work closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure every event is delivered smoothly, on time, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver conferences, meetings, and special events from enquiry through to completion.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
- Manage event logistics, including scheduling, room set-up, catering, AV requirements, and supplier coordination.
- Monitor event budgets, costs, and invoicing to ensure financial targets are met.
- Lead event operations on the day, resolving issues quickly and professionally.
- Collaborate with internal departments to maximise event success and venue utilisation.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and event documentation.
About You:
- Previous experience in conference, events, or hospitality management.
- Strong organisational and project management skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communicator with outstanding customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously.
- Commercially aware with experience managing budgets and client expectations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and event management systems.
