Assistant Hospitality Manager, £36,000 We are looking for an experienced and confident Assistant Manager to join our team! This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality hospitality, leading a team, building strong client relationships, and ensuring food, service, presentation, and compliance standards are consistently exceptional. What You'll Be Doing as Assistant Hospitality Manager: Working closely with the Head Chef to review menus and ensure all dietary and allergen information is accurately identified and communicated. Leading daily pre-service briefings covering service standards, presentation, pacing, customer care, and allergen procedures. Coaching and supporting junior team members, ensuring consistently high standards across the team. Acting as a key point of contact for corporate clients, regular customers, and event organisers. Managing client requirements and creating tailored food displays, dietary setups, and event presentations. Completing daily HACCP records, temperature checks, Health & Safety checklists, and labour timesheet sign-offs. Taking ownership of the visual presentation of buffets, counters, tables, and event stations. Ensuring displays are creative, polished, cohesive, and professionally presented. Maintaining clear signage and immediately addressing anything that does not meet the required standard. Supporting the smooth running of daily service while ensuring all food safety, allergen, and operational procedures are followed. What You Need to Succeed as Assistant Hospitality Manager: 2+ years' experience in a senior supervisory or Assistant Manager position within hospitality, contract catering, premium café/deli, hotel F&B, or high-end events. A strong understanding of the 14 major allergens, Natasha's Law (PPDS), and HACCP procedures. Food Safety Level 2 minimum and Allergen Awareness certification. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and kitchen teams. Strong leadership skills with the confidence to coach and develop others. A sharp eye for detail and a genuine passion for presentation and visual merchandising. A creative mindset with an appreciation for food styling, colour, layout, and seasonal presentation. A proactive and organised approach, with the ability to balance creativity with strict food safety and compliance requirements. Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime when required.
