We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Senior Sous Chef to join our culinary team at a global operational headquarters, located within the iconic Leadenhall Building in the heart of the City of London. This prestigious location provides a unique setting for delivering exceptional hospitality experiences, including fine dining, canapé receptions, buffets, and corporate events for 50–200 guests.

Working closely with the Head Chef, you will play a key leadership role in managing kitchen operations, driving food quality and consistency, and developing a high‐performing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Sous Chef ready to take on greater responsibility within a premium corporate hospitality environment.

What You'll Be Doing As a Senior Sous Chef:

  • Act as the senior support to the Head Chef and deputise in their absence
  • Drive food quality, presentation, and consistency across all services
  • Mentor, coach, and develop chefs at all levels
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standards
  • Assist in menu development and seasonal planning
  • Monitor portion control and minimise waste
  • Maintain exceptional food safety and hygiene standards
  • Assist with purchasing, stock management, and supplier relationships
  • Support achievement of food cost and gross profit targets
  • Deliver exceptional hospitality experiences for clients and guests
  • Maintain a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Respond proactively to feedback and evolving business needs

About You:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef within a quality hospitality environment
  • Experience within corporate hospitality, events, contract catering, or high‐volume operations
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Excellent culinary and organisational abilities
  • Experience delivering high‐quality buffet, canapé, and fine dining services
  • Strong understanding of food safety, allergens, and kitchen compliance
  • Knowledge of food cost management and gross profit control
