Cafe Manager – Restaurant Associates UK

Location: Churchill War Rooms, London

Salary: ÂŁ33,826 per annum

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent (5 days over 7)

We’re currently looking for an experienced supervisor or assistant manager, who has worked in hospitality or contract catering previously, to join us as our Café Manager at the iconic Churchill War Rooms, located in the heart of London. As the Café Manager you will lead the café operation on site, oversee the day‑to‑day operation and consistently deliver a high standard of service to all guests that come through the door. The position is supported by an experienced General Manager to deliver outstanding customer service and motivate the onsite team.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all deliveries are checked and stored promptly and correctly.
  • Supervise the cafĂ© team, create a positive environment where the team feels welcomed and supported.
  • Use the till, take orders and receive payments.
  • Complete weekly finance tasks and collaborate with the General Manager on any associated duties and queries.
  • Assist with cafĂ© rotas following the General Manager’s guidelines.
  • Place orders for stock to maintain correct levels.
  • Delegate where necessary and ensure the team remains proactive.
  • Comply with Food Handling & Hygiene standards.
  • Comply with Health & Safety regulations.

We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience supervising frontline teams within a similar environment.
  • Good communication skills with a focus on what great customer service looks like.
  • Team player with a can‑do attitude.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Outstanding communication skills with guests, staff and the client.
