Location: Twycross Zoo (on-site)

Salary: £20,123.10 per annum (pro-rata)

Contract Type: Part-Time, 30 hours per week, Permanent

Working Hours: 30 hours, 5 days over 7, predominantly Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 2:00pm

About The Role

We’re seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Business Administrator to provide essential administrative, financial, and operational support for our catering operations at Twycross Zoo. This part-time role is a fantastic opportunity to work in a high-profile visitor environment while contributing to the smooth running of day-to-day operations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Managing cash and processing daily takings accurately
  • Completing financial and operational reports
  • General HR administration support
  • Supporting the Kitchen team with administrative tasks
  • Maintaining filing systems, managing documentation, and handling enquiries
  • Assisting with payroll and other finance-related processes as required
  • Supporting ad-hoc projects and contributing to process improvements

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Experience of working in a high-volume, busy environment
  • At least 2 years’ administration experience
  • Strong cash-handling experience
  • Proven ability to manage and streamline processes
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner
  • High attention to detail with strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity
  • A proactive, positive approach and a collaborative team spirit

Desirable

  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in a relevant area
