We've got an exciting opportunity for an HR Manager at our Office in Seaham.

Reporting to the Head of People, you'll align Res Q's business objectives with the goals of our employees and management teams.

You'll be the bridge that ensures successful partnerships between HR and the rest of our business, delivering value-added services that reflect our mission.

We're looking for a driven and progressive HR professional who can help us innovate our HR function.

We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to lead our HR function in Seaham while working closely with our HR Manager in Hull to deliver a consistent, people-focused service across both sites.

This is a varied role that combines leadership, operational HR and continuous improvement.

You'll have the opportunity to make a real impact through developing your team, supporting leaders and helping shape the employee experience across Res Q.

What can you expect from this role?

Your responsibilities will include

  • Leading, developing and coaching the Seaham HR Advisors, creating a high-performing team that delivers an excellent HR service.
  • Building strong relationships with operational leaders and managers across the Seaham site, providing practical, commercially focused people advice and support.
  • Working closely with the HR Manager in Hull to ensure consistency in approach, decision making and delivery across both locations.
  • Managing a broad range of employee relations matters, from day-to-day advisory support through to complex investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, absence management and organisational change.
  • Supporting and coaching managers to build capability, confidence and accountability in managing their teams.
  • Driving employee engagement initiatives and supporting site-specific action plans that improve colleague experience, retention and performance.
  • Using people data, trends and insights to identify opportunities and support business decision making.
  • Contributing to workforce planning, organisational change and business improvement initiatives.
  • Ensuring HR policies, procedures and practices are applied consistently and remain compliant with employment legislation.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of HR projects and people initiatives across both sites.
  • Working in partnership with Learning & Development to support leadership capability and colleague development.
  • Acting as a visible and trusted HR presence within the Seaham operation, promoting a positive and inclusive working environment.

What are we looking for?

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent is essential, along with a proven and successful track record in an HR role.
  • At least 3 years of experience handling complex employee relations matters.
  • Previous experience leading, coaching and developing an HR team.
  • Experience building effective relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels within a fast-paced operational environment.
  • A pragmatic and hands-on approach, with the ability to balance strategic priorities alongside day-to-day operational demands.
  • Familiarity with various HR disciplines, including organisational development, performance management, and employment law.
  • A deep passion for all aspects of HR with a knack for building strong relationships.
  • A natural problem-solver with outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience working within contact centre, customer service, retail, logistics or similarly fast-paced environments would be advantageous.
