You know your way around a mechanical design package at Associate level, but you want real ownership of projects rather than sitting in the shadow of someone else's sign off.This is a well established building services consultancy working from a modern studio in central London, delivering mechanical design across commercial, residential and mixed use schemes with a genuinely collaborative team culture.The frustration for a lot of engineers at this stage is being stuck between technician level tasks and the strategic decisions that actually move a project forward. This role gives you a proper seat at the table: leading mechanical design packages from concept through to construction, mentoring less experienced engineers, and having a direct line into client conversations rather than being kept at arm's length. You will be trusted with real responsibility from day one, working alongside a small, experienced team that is expanding and needs someone who can operate independently without losing attention to detail.Hybrid working is available, and the studio culture favours engineers who want to grow into technical leadership rather than stay in a purely delivery focused role.
