You are a capable, experienced structural engineer who wants more say over the projects you work on, not just a heavier workload with the same level of input you had two years ago.This is a multidisciplinary consultancy with offices in London and Birmingham, working across education, heritage, defence and public sector projects, often involving complex existing buildings alongside new build work. The mix of sectors gives senior engineers a genuinely varied caseload rather than years spent on one type of project, and public sector frameworks provide a steady pipeline of repeat work.If you have hit a ceiling at your current firm where seniority means more responsibility but not more autonomy, this role is designed to give you both. You will lead your own projects from early design through to construction, work directly with clients and other disciplines, and take a mentoring role with less experienced engineers in the team.
