You have been operating at a senior level for a while now and you are ready for the title, the pay and the influence that should come with principal responsibility.This is a London based structural engineering consultancy working across commercial, residential and mixed use developments, with a flat enough structure that principal engineers have genuine access to the direction of the practice rather than being another layer of management between engineers and partners. Client relationships here tend to be long standing, which gives principals real continuity across repeat projects, and a clearer sense of the impact their work has over time.If you are already doing principal level work but still reporting to someone who barely reviews it, or feel that reaching this level elsewhere would mean losing touch with the actual engineering, this role keeps you close to the technical work while giving you the seniority you have earned. You will lead major projects, take responsibility for technical quality across your team, and play a genuine role in business development and mentoring more junior engineers.
